Cardiology Catheterization Lab

Dallas Medical Center consistently meets or exceeds the door-to-balloon time standard of 90 minutes thanks to our newly updated lab and experienced Cardiac Cath Lab staff. The Cardiac Catheterization lab staff is available 24 hours a day for emergencies and remains fully trained and equipped to respond within the national door-to-balloon time standard. The board-certified cardiologists work closely with our staff in monitoring these patients and providing the best care for a positive outcome.

Diagnostic Testing

Echocardiograms, EKG, and stress testing can all be arranged on an outpatient basis for the patient’s treatment convenience. Diagnostic cardiac catheterization patients are able to be admitted through day surgery and can be discharged home the same day.

Because we believe an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, we also offer a special price of $165 for our cardiac calcium score screenings. It’s quick and painless, and it could save your life.

Interventional Care

Electrophysiology

Dr. Viqar considers herself an electrician for your heart rhythm concerns. Through electrophysiology, she can diagnose and treat electrical malfunctions of the heart. With thorough training, Dr. Viqar is equipped to use highly-advanced techniques to restore the normal rhythm of your heart. This technically complex area of medicine offers very practical solutions for her patients, making electrophysiology a very valuable area for future expansion. Dr. Viqar is a caring physician who is happy to meet with all her patients and their family members as she reviews treatment plans in an easy-to-understand manner.

Cardiac Rehabilitation

If you have a heart issue, we have a program that focuses on exercise using various cardiovascular machines while a nurse monitors your vital signs. The program focuses on reducing risk factors, implementing an exercise plan, and educating patients. For more information, click here.
